Now Shipping: Line 6 POD Studio™ Recording Interfaces
Calabasas, Calif. (Vocus) November 3, 2008 -- Line 6, Inc. (www.line6.com), the industry leader in modeling technology for music products, ships powerful new POD Studio™ USB interfaces for recording guitarists. Each POD Studio includes POD Farm™ plug-in to provide POD® tone for any DAW.
"There's a POD Studio perfect for every application," remarks David Dolan, Line 6 Product Marketing Manager. "And combined with POD Farm, our premium POD tone plug-in, POD Studio will revolutionize the way guitarists record--just like the original POD."
POD Farm plug-in, available in both Mac® AU/RTAS®/VST® and Windows® RTAS®/VST® formats, supplies a must-have collection of legendary tones necessary for every recording guitarist. It's complete with over 50 immortal guitar and bass amps and cabs, from dark and smoky American combos to gain-crazed English stacks, plus 29 crucial studio and stompbox effects and 6 pro mic preamps. POD Farm boasts an intuitive carousel-style interface and a simple drag-and-drop signal flow that afford effortless recording. Above all, POD Farm produces great-sounding tracks.
POD Studio USB interfaces are powerful and rock-solid. They outperform similar interfaces with the lowest noise for recording guitar--over 12 dB more signal-to-noise--and with exclusive Line 6 ToneDirect™ monitoring that virtually eliminates latency and allows for simultaneous recording and monitoring of a fully processed tone. Plus, 44.1/48 kHz 16-/24-bit recording (88.2/96 kHz with sample rate conversion) ensures album-quality results.
GX provides portable, no-nonsense recording with one 1/4-inch guitar input. UX1 features one 1/4-inch guitar input, a balanced XLR input with a high-quality preamp and two 1/4-inch analog outputs. UX2 offers two 1/4-inch guitar inputs (one normal, one pad), two balanced XLR inputs with preamps and phantom power, an S/PDIF digital output and a pair of assignable VU meters.
Each POD Studio delivers instant pro recording right out of the box. POD Studios GX and UX1 include Ableton® Live Lite 8-track recording software. POD Studio UX2 includes Ableton® Live Lite Line 6 Studio Edition 16-track recording software as well as Reason Adapted production software.

Marketing Help You Cant Ignore
The term "pod cast" combines the words "iPod" and "broadcast". The host or author of a pod cast is often called a "pod caster". An easy way to understand the term is audio on demand. People can listen to them when it is most convenient for them - whether they are early birds or night owls, pod casting can fit their schedule. The Apple iPod was the first brand of portable media player for which the first pod casting scripts were developed. Since then, the pod casting revolution has taken off, with pod casting being especially suited to the entertainment industry. It is also great for advertising your web site, which will be discussed further.
